Considering first:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/61/33132.html
"The OS, based on SuSE's Linux kernel 2.4.21, will ship in three flavours:
Personal, Professional and Professional for AMD64. Each has been coded to
incorporate some forthcoming 2.6 kernel features - including improved
scheduling, Linux sound architecture and better support for power management.
For test purposes the Linux firm has added a full version of the 2.6 kernel,
which it recommends is "for technically skilled users". "

as well as:
"For those of us who have been driven to the dark depths of despair by many
Linux distros "support" for laptop WinModems, SuSE promises that its OS will
actually support "a lager number" of WinModems."

Suse 9.0 will ship on the 15th with a cost of 40 USD.

For me the power managment problems with my Dell with 2.4 are holding me back
from transitioning. According to a couple websites 2.5 had solved these issues
so I am very interested in a 2.6 kernel. I have attempted several times
rolling my own a failure has always ensued.

Will it be possible to download this this or is suse a distro that does not
provide iso's?

Food for thought...
