I'm in the same situation, I'm just concerned what this may do to Linux
in general. I think RedHat would be the only distribution that any
minorly knowledgable American could mention. If you ask them: "How do
you get Linux?" they would say that they would go to Best Buy and buy
"That Hat software".

Basically, Redhat has the strongest brand name associated with Linux in
the US. The got that through the desktop sales and being seen in retail
situations. I worry that they are devaluating their name, and thus the
name of Linux in public perception.

But, ofcourse, I'd prefer they not got bankrupt ;)
