{instant,} messaging

A little more info... There is a really good jabber client (open source)
called PSI. (http://psi.affinix.com/) Linux and Win support. Very nice,
clean, stable client.

AOL, m$ and Yahoo! are all trying to lock out Free Software clients. Is
there a protocol and network we can use that is and will remain
available to Free Software?
