Is it really that uncommon a feature to find these days? I'd say that
all motherboards that support from Duron 800s and up support it. In
fact, I think even my FW supports booting from a USB device and it's an
Athlon 550. True though, it does depend on how recent the hardware you
use is but if it is being bought "today", you'll be able to do this.
In fact, I don't know why I didn't think of this in the first place,
seeing as I use a gentoo one myself for various odd tasks.
