Subject: PCMCIA/SCSI Card Problem
I pulled an Adaptec 1460D SCSI PCMCIA card out of my junk box and=20
inserted it into a notebook running RH 8.0. It fails no matter what devic=
es I=20
have on the SCSI bus (and termination on the SCSI bus doesn't seem to mat=
ter=20
either).
     /var/log/messages points a finger when I do a hot insert (with SCSI=20
devices connected on the other end, didn't try without):

     The "software interrupt, lost" and "IRQ 3 possibly wrong" are damnin=
g and=20
suggest the card is broken. Any other diagnostics/changes someone might=20
suggest? PCMCIA and SCSI are not my strong suits.
     TIA!
