Author: John Daly Date: Subject: can't login as root
I tried switching to GNOME using the "Desktop Switching Tool" while
logged in as root. Rebooted. When I try to log back in as root it won't
let me. Turns out I don't believe I installed the gnome desktop, only
kde. I can still login as a regular user that uses kde, I get the
following message right after the login screen:
/root/.Xclients: line 8: /root/.Xclients-default: no such file or
directory
Is there a setting somewhere that lists the "desktop" for the root user
so I can switch that back to KDE? I tried looking for this file, no
luck.
