In an act worthy of SCO, Fox News is suing comedian Al Franken for using the
words "fair and balanced" in the title of his new book, "Lies and the Lying
Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look At The Right". In commemoration
of this august event in intellectual property litigation, the Blogosphere is
celebrating today as "Fair and Balanced Day". My own blog at
http://news.badtux.net is participating, as are hundreds of other blogs
worldwide. You can see some of the participating blogs listed at
http://www.blah3.com/graymatter/archives/00000420.html
Just chalk it up to yet another act in the ongoing saga of "Intellectual
Property Stupidity", large-scale assault on people's rights by folks like SCO,
RIAA, etc. in service of an ideology that is contrary to free (as in freedom)
software.
Have a fair and balanced day,
-Eric
