I haven't used it, but I know in the Redhat's later than 8.0 support
network profiles. They allow you to select on the boot line (so you can
configure GRUB to have an entry) which networking profile you'd like to
run. This seems like kinda a work around for the real problem, and I'm
not really providing information on how to do it ('cause I don't know) -
but it might be something to look into.
