What does `ls /` tell you? You removed the previous /vmlinuz, but did
that restore /vmlinuz.old to /vmlinuz? The "image=3D" line is simply a
file name, so you need to ensure that the line points to a valid file.
Also note that if you change lilo.conf by hand, then you must run the
program `lilo` for the changes to take effect.
