Help with translation of software app into Chinese

Hi all,

I know this isn't exactly "on-topic", but I've found this list to be an excellent resource for all things computer
related.

My boss just approched me saying that a sale opportunity for our software product has come up worth a lot of money.
However, the customer is in China and would require that the entire application be translated into Chinese.

Since I have no clue how to begin this project, I thought I'd solict help from the list.
The application is a Content Management System written in Cold Fusion, running on Win2K with MS SQL Server 2000.
If anyone can offer some insight or point my in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
I imagine that I'm not the first person to encounter this situation for either Windows or Linux.

My immediate questions are:
1) Is Chinese a unicode language. The database was created to accommodate unicode data (i.e. nvarcahr, nchar, etc).
I'm hoping I won't have to redo the data model to accommodate the Chinese language.

2) If a website is created in a foreign language, does the underlying HTML code still remain in English?

3) If we put this on a Win2K Chinese Edition server, will standard english application run properly - like SQL Server
2000 or must I get a Chinese version of SQL server (if such a thing exists).

4) If there is someone on the list that can tranlate between Chinese and English, contact me off list. There would be
a very strong possiblity for contract work.
