USB A/V capture

I am confused about your request.

You want USB A/V capture under Linux but then you say "PCI based." PCI based what? What does "USB A/V" and "PCI based" whatver have to do with each other?

And, what died? Windows?

I think we need more/better information before anyone can help.

One of the reasons I kept a Windows system around has died. PCI based.
I would like to get something that will work with *NIX.
