Subject: 3d nvidia troubles
Have you downloaded and tried the latest drivers - they recently changed
their linux installer. It is improved, and the large readme file contains
many troubleshooting tips.

In the past, I have had to recompile parts of their drivers, this is now
even easier and auto-detected by the new installer.
