My patience has been short this past week as I've been sicker that I
have ever been in my adult life.
URL to project homepage is easily available by clicking the link on Help
with mrproject application.
Version .90 is listed on first page of homepage with direct reference to
printing now added. Apparently this is the 3rd release since RH 8.0
which gives you an idea about how fast this project is moving.
MrProject is changing so quickly that no distro is going to keep up with
it. This probably points out one of the disadvantages of a distro like
RedHat...they include an immature release of a project and never update
it until perhaps their next official release.
I guess I expected him to at least look at the project page before
asking but you are right, my impatience was over the top and
unnecessary. My impatience stems from those that make no efforts to find
the answers themselves but want to involve others first. Had it been a
newbie, I would have been more understanding. Alan knows to look first.
I will share my methods of locating a project home page and am always
interested in how others do it...
In this case, the homepage was easily located by choosing help in the
application itself.
Most of the time, I go to <
http://www.freshmeat.net> and enter the name
of the application directly into the search engine. MRPROJECT returned
the link to the project home page directly. Failing that, I would
categorize the project software and search it. 'PROJECT'
The other place I search and look is <
http://www.sourceforge.net> which
also has a search engine and a novel software locator...similar to
drilling down the categories.
