ICS on the Win98 box would work great if you just had a single connection.
I'd recommend looking at some of the boxes from Nexland - they have dial
backup support and I've had great success with them. If your Ethernet
connection dies (link goes down, or URL is unavailable) the dialup kicks in
and works like a charm. However, it would be a 'win' for Linux if someone
could support this as is..
