OK, Thank you!

One thing I didn't do is remove the old directory of mysql and I'm
wondering if that's the problem I'm having. Anyway, this is what I end
up with and it doesn't seem right.

On my laptop which seems ok, I get the localhost and ..be.com with root
and password set and additionally a localhost and .com without user or
password. Seems I have to have a localhost for the top item below.
