Subject: irix, system v, and slackware
ok I made a boo-boo when I was reading about irix. A couple papers said
irix is open source so I got excited and whizzed over to sgi.com to
check out dnloading and installing irix, that is when I learned that
irix itself is proprietary but there is a list of modules that can be
dnloaded and installed and most of those are open source. I apologize
for the misunderstanding. Oh and thanks for replying, I knew that when
writing this e-mail that it has a very open ended response but I didn't
know how else to word the message. Or perhaps it is just that not many
here have experience with irix since it is a proprietary os.
