Hello PLUG Members...
The Instructor of the Computer Maintenance: A+ Prep class at
SCC has asked me if she can have somebody do a presentation
on the Linux operating system. Here is what she wrote:
I think a demo installation might be too time-consuming;
but a demo of the operating system, answering questions
about its use, and describing the issues in the installation
would be great. I have two sections of A+, one from 6-9:30PM
on Monday nights (18 students), and the other from 9-12:30 on
Friday mornings (15 students). The two sets of dates I'm looking
at are Monday Nov 18 and Friday Nov 22, or Monday Dec 2 and
Friday Dec 6.
Would the PLUG be interested in giving a presentation(s)?
A couple of scheduling notes:
+ Monday, 02 December, is the PLUG-Developer's meeting.
+ If nobody is available, then I can do the Friday,
22 November, but I cannot do any of the other sessions.
As of this `date` (command substitution yields
Sun Nov 3 08:07:35 MST 2002) no money has been
allocated to pay presenters, but I will see if
a small stipend can be worked out.
