Charlie,

Is opera your only choice? Is this the end of Linux on your desktop? try
mozilla, netscape or any of the other small army of browsers, one of them
should do it. just not IE ;-) There are a couple sites out there that list
them all, and hold on, try

for a start. then you could also contact opera using one of the tools on
http://www.opera.com/support/. they do have free email support
