Subject: June 3 Development Topic
As posted on the Web page:
Development: Monday, June 3rd, 2002
(First Monday - Even Months)
At 7 p.m., meeting at Adtron Corp.,
3710 E University Dr., Phoenix AZ 85034
Topic: GNU Makefiles, Autoconf and Config.
Presenter: Victor Odhner.
If you're developing GNU applications in C, C++ or other
languages, you need the "make" command to build them
consistently. If you want these applications to run on
different platforms, such as Linux/x86 and Solaris/Sparc,
then you can use Autoconf and Config for automatic
installs in these environments.
Vic will give some detailed instruction on "make" and a
quick summary and example of how to do packaging and
installation with Autoconf and Config.
