I aquired a system with RH6.2 on it, (a 32mb box) stuck it on =
blue-yonder
and sure enough it was rooted within 3 days. (good excuse to move it
over to slakware anyway).
Moral being use a modern distro, or don't be a muppet and leave =
everything
running (I'd intended to shut of ftp & lpd but got distracted).
If your setting up web and mail servers then I expect you'd be a bit =
more
security concious, but I had nothing on the machine anyway.
