Yes, I've heard of the reiser fs but I'm not willing to make such a step
right now. There are more important issues right now regarding the
functioning of the server.

there is also a new FS type that is roubust to such chrashes... I have
not had time to play around with it myself, but I am sure someone here
can point you to it. That is of course an upgrade...
