I am building a computer for use with e-smith gateway and server =
software, which is based on redhat 7.0. This will be the third one I've =
built and I'vre had no problems with the other 2. I've used either 2 =
smc1211tx nics or 1 smc and 1 NetGear FA310tx. ON this computer, I'm =
using 2 NetGear fa310tx cards. If I only put 1 nic in the computer boots =
fine and I can use it as a samba server for file and printer sharing, =
but when I put the 2nd nic in, as I want to use it as a fire wall and =
proxy server, it will start the boot process, but it hangs during the =
memory check.=20
I think that it is a problem with either the bios settings or the mother =
board and not my linux installation since it works fine with 1 nic.
I'm stumped and even though this is more of a hardware than a Linux =
question, any help would be appreciated,
Charlie
