Subject: SAMBA was RE: how to change hostname
The linux box now shows its name as "Shitty" just as it should.

But from two different w2k computers and a w98 computer, the network
neighborhood shows Shitty as being "localhost" instead. Is there anywhere
else I need to change the name? I also changed it under the network
configuration box in KDE.

Instead of reboot, if the logout/login doesn't work, try doing
'/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart'
