Subject: UPS nomination
I got a "BlackoutBuster" from CompUSA a while ago because they had a rebate
on it, and I was worried about California's power problems coming here. I
just got the rebate check...

Anyway, the UPS is 500VA, and has a serial port connection. It doesn't have
Linux software (surprise, surprise), but it just uses relays on the serial
port to signal the UPS status. So I just used the "smartups" package from
SuSE and used the "Best Patriot" configuration file since it uses the same
relay configuration as mine.
