Am 30. Jul, 2001 schwäzte John (EBo) David so:

I don't have the buttons option on mine and it works fine. I changed
protocol from PS/2 to ImPS/2 and added the ZAxisMapping lines and poof
scrollmouse worked. Well, poof after restarting X :).
