Subject: IRC Server
It is redundant, but perhaps easier? That way you wouldn't have to
fill your mailbox with messages and didn't Linus start by posting to
some newsgroup alt.os.linux anyway.

Perhaps a news server would be better than a mailing list? It's just
difficult to subscribe to a large number of mailing lists, while it
seems easier to peruse a large number of newsgroups...
