Subject: Honeywell OpenHouse/Hiring Event
I'm not trying to do any advertising here; I'm just a long-time
lurker who just happens to do network stuff for Honeywell.
Here's some info on a open house slash hiring event looking
for - among other things - software engineers and sw quality
engineers. I haven't managed to find the appropriate website
for it yet, but here's the info transcribed:

What: Honeywell SSO (Satellite Systems Operations) Open House
Hiring Event.

Who: Engineers meeting requirements listed below that are
external candidates or have been invited in to visit via the
SSO Referral Program.

When: Today, 1/31/01 3-8pm

Where: Honeywell SSO, 19019 N 59th Ave, Glendale. N/E Corner of
59th ave and Union Hills Drive (take 101 to 59th and go south
past orange grove, and hang a left).

Why: SSO Engineering Dept. to meet, screen, interview, and hire
talented entry-level and experienced degreed engineers for the
following positions:
   - Software Engineers (C/C++, Ada in Unix & VAX/VMS)
   - Hardware/Mechanical Engineers (Bearing/Rotating machinery
     experience)
   - Vibration Analysis/Controls Engineers (NASTRAN/MatLab)
   - Software Quality Engineers (Test/Verification)

There will be food and hourly raffle prizes (which include
voodoo 3 graphic cards, Palm IIIc's, and CDRW's).

Unofficial part from the poster: This place makes everything
from gimble units, to rotationally based satellite movement
assemblies, to updated displays for the shuttle. We have people
involved with projects for the ISS, space shuttle, and various
satellite projects. I can't tell you what the pay or work might
be like, but I do know that they're looking for something like
80 software and sw qual engineers. FYI.
