That's correct, Lucas. It seems functions are more than just stored
procedures. Functions are also part of new data types as well (though
are not required to be).

has the description of them, which I share for any fledgeling PGSQL
programmers out there like myself. (Especially those of us trying to
get away from MSSQL.)
