I get the impression that you think I am knocking Linux. Not by any stretch.
I also have the splash screen off in ie so i don't see it, I double click and i see yahoo.com
almost instantaneously. I may have to many progs in Linux I really don't need and that could be a cause.
You are right ms office takes a while to load on my win98 system. I think maybe just having
Linux / at around the 7.5 Gig area of the disk may be a culprit as well. I don't really know
the way Linux behaves. I suspect win98 would not like living in that location of the drive.
