Ken:
Interesting post. We (Excelco, Inc.) was approached about
two weeks ago to become an authorized reseller for a
product that will allow for collaboration. It is a real-time meeting
processing software for Linux. It provides for hosting
of the multimedia collaboration on a Linux host, but
requires Windows or Macintosh clients in order to
participate -- STRANGE !
It provides for up to 25 simultaneous connections
Automated e-mail notification to meeting invitees
point and click interface
ability for any participant to show graphics during meeting
multi-point audio
record and archive live meetings
schedule meetings
private paging
no downloading required in order to participate
I have not yet done a market survey to see if we
will handle the product. Pricing does not seem to be
out of line at $495.
If you and / or others are interested, it may have an
impact on us signing up to sell the product.
