OT (or not?) Firefox question about the address bar.

A while back (don't remember when this started), I began to notice that
the firefox browser started adding an extra title in the address window
next to the favicon.  I don't understand why this was added, but it seems
like a needless nuisance to me.  Is there some way to eliminate this
redundant title? Or is there some good reason to not eliminate it?
