Care to elaborate a bit about the solution?

On a side note, I recently came across Smart BootManager
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/btmgr/) when I was unable to boot from a
CDRom. Nice little tool. I'll allow you to boot from a floppy then select a
device to boot from, or it can be installed on a HDD or thumb drive.
Probably should be in the InstallFest Toolkit. (Sorry it didn't come to mind
earlier)

I've heard nothing but good things about PCLinuxOS. Looking forward to
giving it a test drive some day. Perhaps at the next InstallFest.
