Fedora beating me down... any distro suggestions?

I've run them both, and while I would be hard-pressed to decide which
one is "better", I decided to stay with MEPIS because...
1.) I have a little more experience with it. I've been running Simply MEPIS
3.3.1 since it came out.
2.) Updating with either Synaptic or the Kpackage manager is about as easy as
it gets.
3.) Robin "roblimo" Miller's book "Point and Click Linux" which is a
beginner's guide to MEPIS and Linux in general.
4.) MEPIS joining the Debian Common Core Alliance (DCCA) will help assure
that many flavors of Debian will have a long future ahead of them. For some
reason, Ubuntu has decided NOT to join in this project, and may eventually
fork off in it's own direction.

Mad Penguin has an Interview with Warren Woodford, MEPIS Developer a
