Good point, Kevin.  Most of these boxes are probably going to have either 
nothing installed or a version of Windoze.  We can get the pertinent 
information about the modem from Windoze or from the user.  It would be best, 
however, to have them bring the modem with, assuming it is not internal.

Minimum hardware?  How about

Pentium-class CPU
Minimum 32M memory, the more the better
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Modem

Maybe we need a separate web page on the PLUG web site so that all this 
information can be available in one place.
