high vs low level programming

There's another level. sys_adm :). That's where I'm coming from. Lots of
shell and perl scripting. Most things have been throwaway snippits.

I've done some semi-serious perl and shell stuff. Again mostly sys_adm
oriented. I want to move into c/c++ range.
