Is there a simple ethernet splitter?

I would strongly encourage you to save the money and splice your own
cables together.
Just cut off the ends of a 4 or 5 patch cables, pull the plastic
coating off the wires and twist them together. Use some black
electrical tape... not for safety... but for 'flare'. If you match up
all the colors on the wires, it will work great.
Why waste the money on an expensive switch? That $15 could easily buy
you 10 lotto tickets, some pop-rocks and a can of Kronik.
Plus, you will have much more fun after you plug in all your devices
in to one contiguous wire-octopus, then call Cox for support.
Enjoy!
