On Redhat/Fedora, it pretty much ignores everything.   The source
package has different backend code for each of the major linux
distributions and the Redhat/Fedora backend has the least amount of
configuration available.  This seems pretty odd seeing how Redhat is
the one who wrote it in the first place.
