Cox cable internet and Linux?

well, there is 1. don't ever tell them you are running linux. they will 
respond as "unsupported".

as for setup, using a standard rfc compliant dhcp client works nicely. oh and 
make damned sure you have a firewall in place. otherwise, you'll be facing 
root kit attacks.
