Cox cable internet and Linux?

Depends which one you get.  Once when I was having
a Windows networking problem I told the helpline guy
that the same machine connected to Cox just fine when
it was switched over to Linux.  They guy took that as
a diagnostic and skipped over the "is it plugged in"
types of questions.
