How to copy a DVD?

I know how frustrating that is!  Can your computer play DVDs?  If so, it
would be a good idea to use a DVD-RW to do test burns and see if the
computer can play the result as a DVD.  If it plays as a DVD on the
computer, to the same procedure with your DVD-R for the final copy burn.

Did you try the Tools->DVD->Copy DVD... menu item?  That will take care of
the "burn image" step for you.  In other words, that command will read the
source DVD, eject it, asking for the blank destination DVD and then burn
it.  Simple.  Did that work?

I would expect that your player would not play the DVD, making it a
coaster, since that procedure produces a copy of the ISO image file as
data, not as a playable DVD.

I know what you are going through.  At the beginning of last summer I
authored a DVD for the first time on Linux.  Wow.  I thought I'd start
punching walls or taking a baseball bat to the computer.  Just remember to
breathe.

You should be good then.  Do the Tools->DVD->Copy DVD... command.
