I'd expect they could be compatible, if you got exactly the right
versions of everything. Which probably is more trouble that it's
worth. :-)

Good idea. I'll try that. I do have emacs21 running now - didn't care
whether I had emacs or xemacs as long as I didn't have to use vi - but
I'll probably need that library some day, as I do a lot of graphics
conversions.
