COX blocks outbound smtp

I noticed that they blocked the SMTP when I setup my client to use my 
remote host for SMTP but when I use Postfix on my laptop as a relay 
that sends without a problem. So whatever they are trying to accomplish 
it can be circumvented with a local SMTP relay server.
