Linux/Solaris Helper Needed

Carl,

LOM is "Lights Out Management".  Only useful if you have a serial 
connection to the box. With LOM, though, you can power the box down 
remotely, then power it up again at a later time.

You'll find it on Sun Netra's, not sure if any other models use it.
