where O where is my Palm?

Unfortunately, no.  <sigh>  I tried pointing at
/dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyS1, then linking
/dev/pilot to each and pointing at those.  No
luck.  The pilot and the PC still don't seem to
see each other.

OK, I get:

ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A

So I tried pointing J-Pilot next at /dev/ttyS00
and .../ttyS01.  no luck.  next step?
