I'm on Debian but procmail/postfix should work the same. I'm running
postfix, fetchmail, procmail, and mutt.

I found this very simple site:

   http://www.ii.com/internet/robots/procmail/qs/

to be helpful in getting procmail going and understanding the basics. It's
one of the "Interesting and Useful Links" found on the procmail home page:

   http://www.procmail.org/

It's really not that hard. A few config params and then some pattern
matching and you're done. If you need some help, I'd be glad to send you
some of my procmail rc files off line. Just let me know.

This is probably something you've already done or plan to do but for postfi=
x,
I just read through the docs/howtos linked to from the postfix home page:

    http://www.postfix.org/

It is true, postfix is much easier to configure than sendmail. It's been
a while since I set it all up but if I remember correctly, between reading
and editing config files I got the basic stuff working in probably an hour,
maybe 2.
