You can have fun experimenting with this.  One of the fun things I did
as an intern while I was in college was hard crash a Sun 4/330 using a
remote Xterminal and its mouse.  I was testing the buffer on a ksh
script for a read input into a to-be-used-as-an-integer var.

Seems it didn't care for the *very* long digit I typed in using cut &
paste at 8K/paste and a healthy micro twitch directly at the
microswitch.

I documented the failure in the code when the system rebooted.  :-)
