moin, moin,

tonight's topic is the GIMP.

Ted did the presentation at InstallFest II and got good reviews. The
presentation slides look good. See the abstract and bio he wrote below.

19:00 at GCC, http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/ for map and more info.

Abstract:

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is one of the premier Linux
applications. While it is used in almost every demo of Linux, very few
people know how to use it for productive purposes. This tutorial covers
the basics of photo editing using The GIMP, including red eye
reduction. The GIMP has been used to edit movies such as Scooby-Doo,
Harry Potter, and Stuart Little; it will make short work of your
photos. Come and find out how use this powerful and fun program. The
presentation can be found at: http://gould.cx/ted/projects/photogimp/
