Well. FWIW, I find the 4o model does a worse job at coding than a newbie intern would do. That should appeal to you because you’ll have to put far more effort into reviewing the code than if it were a more experienced coder.
If you want to get much better quality work, pay that outrageous fee of $20 /mo (the cost of a large Supreme pizza) and go with o3-mini-High. It’s optimized for coding tasks.
It should go without saying that since there’s so much logic embedded in most run-time libs you never get a chance to exercise your chops on any of those functions either. I don’t find anybody complaining about that, they just keep asking for more enhancements.
