Hi Keith
for my use case I use Virtualbox for desktops sound usb adding/changing
hardware is easy but it comes with a lot of overhead
KVM I use for a quick spin up local test environment usually to test a
server or issue
Proxmox is my main server host since it is easy light does great backups
and migrations
