Would anyone here on the list have some experience with either of these
products? I've been trying to get either installed on a couple of
different pieces of hardware all with no success.
Ubuntu Appliance - downloaded the Adguard appliance image and used the RPI
imager tool to transfer the image to a flash drive. My 3b+ will boot every
other OS from flash, but not the Adguard appliance image.
Ubuntu Core - download and followed the instructions to put Core onto my
3b+. Still would not boot. Tried their procedure using the amd64 image
first on an HP 800 Elitedesk G1 DM. After booting into Ubuntu desktop and
using the DD command to transfer the Core image directly to /dev/sda and
rebooting all that i get is the error message that Canonical says i should
get, the usual boot sequence from Linux. But then it gets to
emergency-restart.service and then it reboots. Same cycle continued for
over 10 minutes, never got any sort of setup prompt as outlined in their
documentation. Tried the same process on a G2, but the outcome was exactly
the same.
I've spent a fair amount of time looking for clues as to why or what I may
have missed but Google has not found anything relevant. Hoping someone here
in the community might have some insight.
Steve
